Hello viewers, in this video, I'm going to show you how to register and deregister cordless telephones. First off, let's clarify some terminology used in the manual. This unit here is a base station, while this is a cradle. The cradle does not have a find button nor does it assist in the registration process. So, let's set it aside for now as we won't be using it. The main base station, where your telephone line and power cord are plugged in, is the unit with the find button. This is the base unit. The find button can be located in different places depending on the model. Pressing it will page your handsets. Almost every base station has a find button, so it's likely that yours does too. Now, let's move on to the actual registration process. For example, let's use these two handsets. This particular handset is not yet registered. To register it, simply place it on the base and press the register button. If it doesn't register, the most common issue is that there are already six handsets registered to the base unit. The base unit can only accept a maximum of six handsets. So, if you had six handsets and one of them broke or got lost, you'll need to deregister the original one before registering a new one. To do this, take the handset that is registered to the base unit and press and hold the pound and end keys for about five seconds. This will bring up a menu. In the menu, select "register handset" and follow the prompts to choose the handset you want to register. Once done, you should now be able to register your sixth handset.
