Despite the IRS's best efforts to use fear and intimidation to get us expatriates to comply with the law, Julio is not. So, Julio, welcome to the show. Thank you very much. Yeah, so I don't want to ask too much personal information about you, but you do own a business in South America, somewhere in South America. We do, as we help in a large South American country. What I do is I help US companies expand into the local market. Alright, that's pretty good. Now, you're dealing with US companies in a local market. So, when did you know, how long have you been living overseas? I've been living overseas for almost 20 years. Okay, in this country. Now, do you recall the last time you filed a tax return, if at all? Well, there are two different versions of that, unfortunately. From my perspective, the last year that I filed was 2006. From the IRS's perspective, it was 2002. Because one of the things we are required to do as US citizens living abroad is to send these tax returns by regular mail. And in many countries where we live, the mail system is not as dependable as it is in the United States. Especially back then, you didn't even get a tracking number. So, your tracking number would just tell you up to the point where it left the country, which is not very useful.
