Hi, I'm Todd Judy with Phony US. Even though Bona Polish is a great product, sometimes people make mistakes and want to take the polish off. Maybe it came out streaky or hazy due to application issues. Maybe it got mixed up with the hardwood floor cleaner and you didn't even mean to put it on. Maybe the wrong sheen was applied and you just want to start over. Regardless of the reasons, rest assured that there are products to help you remove the Bona polish and get your floors back to square one. When you order the Bona Polish Remover Kit, you'll receive a quart of polish remover and a scrubby pad that fits on the bottom of your Bona mop. Along with this, you also need several clean Bona mop covers, a pair of safety glasses, and some gloves. One quart of polish remover covers about 200 square feet of flooring, so make sure to order enough for the job. As with any procedure, make sure to do a small test in an inconspicuous area to ensure desired results. If that comes out okay, you're ready to move on and tackle the rest of the floor. You want to work in small sections, about ten square feet. So let's start by applying a generous amount of polish remover to the starting section. Gently squirt the polish remover out of the bottle and spread it around with the scrubby pad to evenly wet out the floor. It's important to apply enough remover so that it will stay wet during the recommended dwell time of five to ten minutes.
