Instructions and Help about How Form 8865 Ii

Good day, lightsaber addicts. Today, we're going to go through the basics of form two of lightsaber combat, Makka. She, I get a lot of my information from the Star Wars book, "The Jedi Path." I highly recommend it for information on lightsaber combat or just the Jedi in general. It's a good read. I also get a lot of my info from reputable websites and even some YouTube videos, so feel free to look them up if you want to learn more. So, as we learned in the first basic video for lightsaber forms, which was form 1c Cho, their moves were very large sweeping strikes, and you had a lot of body movement. When we came to form 2, it was created for lightsaber dueling itself. One of the most notable people that you would know in the Star Wars universe would be Count Dooku from episode 2 and episode 3. So, the form is a lot like fencing in the real world. You mainly use one hand, and the point of it is to have accurate and fast shots, strikes, parries, and stabs. You're also going to be concentrating on your footwork. When you parry, you move backwards. When you go for an attack, you move forward. There is a bit of side-to-side movement, but not too much. The whole point of this form is for dueling other lightsaber opponents, and it's meant to be energy efficient. Instead of swinging a lightsaber around, which takes some energy, you can hit three spots before one strike from form 1 can hit. A successful duel is usually quickly ended by penetrating the opponent's defenses and delivering a disarming strike. To be proficient in form 2, you need to concentrate on two main types of contact. I will demonstrate them right here....
