Hi everyone, I'm Alejandra from Alejandra TV. I'm going to show you how I organize my files in my filing cabinet. One of the biggest problems I see with organizing a filing cabinet is that it becomes overcrowded with papers. Papers are just hanging out and it becomes difficult to find anything because the cabinet hasn't been purged in a long time and the labels are misleading. I will show you how to avoid this problem and keep your filing cabinet super organized where it's easy to find things and you only have what you need. Now, let me show you my whole filing cabinet. There's a shelf on top where I keep my printer. I decided to keep it away from my desk because I couldn't find a good place for it. I have a cord organizer where the USB cable hangs out, making it easy to connect to the computer when I need to print. I also have personal touches in my office, like pictures of my pets and me. Up here are my books, and I color code them just because it looks nice to me. It may not be very functional, but since I don't access them often, it's not a big deal. Moving on to the filing cabinet, I use color-coded binders for different categories. For example, I use a green binder for my Christmas-related papers because Christmas is red and green. The recipe binder is yellow because I associate yellow with the kitchen. However, not all binders are color-coded by category because I reuse them and it becomes hard to maintain.
